This linen lampshade features an early 19th century toile-de-Jouy cotton, originally designed by Jean Baptiste Huet, depicting bucolic vignettes and a cameo of the goddess Daphne, who rejected every lover. Apollo was one such admirer and upon chasing Daphne, he drove her to pray to earth for rescue. In doing so, she was turned into Laurel. This classic toile is recreated in four dramatic colourways.
